Producing hexagon holes & square holes, straight into components in mid production cycle, just became easier.

Redline CNC have perfected a method of Rotary Broaching that will produce Blind and Through Holes, up to 24 mm A/F Hex, without the need to stop the machining cycle. This quick and very economical process is especially suited for small batches where set up and tooling costs have in the past been a burden. A wide range of materials can be machined using this method and the operation doesn't even slow the CNC machines down. In most cases the operation will be overlapped so whilst we're turning the outside diameter the hex is being produced in the middle.

The tooling costs are drastically reduced by up to 80% in some cases due to the simple configuration of the tool bits. No additional operations are required to the components after the broaching which  means handling and production costs are down again... so more savings to our customers..
